Dr. Roberta Bailey grew up in Azusa, California, where she developed a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals. From an early age, she knew she wanted to contribute to a better world for pets, and that calling evolved into a career focused on advocacy, care, and improving access to veterinary services.
She earned her degree in Animal Science from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, before going on to complete her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Western University of Health Sciences. During her time there, she was honored with a Certificate of Service Award. Dr. Bailey’s professional interests include internal medicine, veterinary public health, and expanding access to care. She is an active member of the California Veterinary Medical Association, Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, and the Veterinary Association for Farm Animal Welfare.
Dr. Bailey finds the most fulfillment in helping critically ill patients recover and witnessing the relief and joy that healing brings to their families. She believes veterinary medicine is not only about treating animals, but also about supporting the deep bond between pets and the people who love them.
She shares her home with her husband and their beloved pets, a senior Beagle named Putz, a confident domestic shorthair cat named Kali, and a playful Siamese Flamepoint named Rico, whom they nursed back to health. Outside of the hospital, Dr. Bailey enjoys attending live music and comedy shows, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. She credits her large, close-knit family, including her nieces, nephew, and godson, as a constant source of motivation and joy.
